A Stress Free School Year

Yes, it's that time of year again and I know that the beginning of every school year use to stress me out. Because, I'm a single mother of four children with ages ranging from 12 to 5, this could be a very hectic time in my life, and it's not. I have learned how to get on a system and you can too! I'm going to list a few suggestions and the schedule that works for me, but you have to see which ones will work for you.

First, start picking up school supplies as soon as you see the stores start selling them.  Even if you don't have the new school list you can always pick up the items that you know they will be using this years. Most schools post their supply list on their websites early. So make sure to frequent their website often to get any new updates.

A week or two before schools starts, start waking up your kids at their in-school wake up time and also enforcing their in-school bed times. This will make it easier for you and them to be on time.

Keep a good record in your calender of the schools schedule and early dismissals. I prefer to use my calender that is on my phone. Also have a family calender posted so that your children gets use to checking the calender for their events.

I, nor my my children are morning people, so if your like us, try to turn on some great tunes in the morning to give you and the kids energy to start your day. You may also want to set out your children clothes for the week. If that doesn't work for you, try the night before. Also if they take cold lunch to school, you might want to make their lunches at night. It saves so much time in the morning for your kids to make up their beds and clean their rooms before school.

Last but not lease, schedule their time after school. This is very important so that everything can be accomplished in a day! Make it a great school year!
